DEDICATED TO ALL THE WOMEN OF THE COLD STAR EARTH

 

Women of Earth: we would be exceedingly pleased if you would place your hand on our chest as a sign of spiritual alliance. This letter, addressed to the YIIE mentioned, is really dedicated to all the women of Earth. We, men and women of UMMO, have had occasion many times to deal with your sisters. With limited exceptions, we were able to verify that you were more understanding, cordial and sensitive than your brothers, the men.

 

We want this message to be like a long lament of pain at the unjust discrimination your sisters suffer on OYAGAA.

 

Accustomed to a cold Star where equality of rights and competences affects both sexes in a balanced way, we were saddened to observe the degree of servitude to which the female collective is subjected.

 

We were so interested in the social roots of this phenomenon that we proceeded to carry out a historical analysis of that submission.

 

We were so bewildered by the humiliating treatment given to the YIIE that we did not even dare to send messages to women unless they were not bound to a partner, for fear of hurting masculine feelings and alienating your friendship.

 

But we cannot let more time pass without revealing to you what we feel about that degrading treatment. We do so in the awareness that we are not interfering in the social evolution of Earth, for our words only repeat and confirm what other anti-sexist thinkers of Earth have repeated ad nauseam, denouncing that unjust sexual discrimination.

 

We do so so that the readers of this message may at least know that we, Oemii of a distant star, feel aversion and deep sadness at the conduct of many men. It is not enough to make public boasts of not mistreating one's wife or partner in deed and word. Many educated men inserted in the Social Network, men like you who are reading our letter, have never resorted to the repugnant practice of injuring her or wounding her with insults and open humiliations. But there are many ways of humiliating a woman and lowering her dignity. Sometimes very subtle, and as wounding as the open forms of perfidy and cruelty, for the moral suffering they cause in sensitive women reaches unbearable levels.

 

Those who do not consider their companion as an equal, deserving deep respect precisely because of her somatic weakness, gravely violate the bioethical laws (against the flowing Negentropy of the Universe).

 

The man who despises that principle displays his cowardice, for he takes advantage of the fact that his partner has an anatomophysiological structure that makes her more vulnerable to the attacks of the stronger; and even if she is sometimes more resistant and physically dominates the man, even so she is the victim of the subtle aggression she suffers from the rest of the Social Network, whose models of behaviour are misogynist.

 

The origin of this ignominious submission seems clear. Already in the period corresponding to the appearance on OYAGAA of what you call “Homo Habilis”, the male sometimes killed the female after the first births in order to dispute with her the right to scarce food.

 

It is from an evolutionary phase, Homo Neanderthalensis, that the woman of Earth begins to be subjugated “Intellectually” by the male. Pregnancy, its associated disorders, menstruation and childbirth limited her physical faculties, and in a repulsively selfish way the male took advantage of these long phases of his YIIE's helplessness to impose his tyrannical dominion.

 

The reality is that in all cultures, and with the causes mentioned as their root, you have established two castes, subjecting the physically (not intellectually) weaker one to being the passive toys of the unworthy arrogance of their companions of the other gonadal sign.

 

If not a slave, which she also was, the YIIE has been servant and vassal, puppet and defenceless target of their mockery, their contempt and sometimes their physical aggressions, which she has submissively endured.

 

You men of Earth have monopolized History. You have written it and distorted the true History of the infamous subjugation of the YIIE by her male companion. But we have unearthed many testimonies, have unified them and discovered that, of all the chronicles of iniquities committed in past centuries by the OEMMI of Earth against their own, none equals in refined cruelty the subjugation of woman by her partner.

 

Persecuted races could unite and fight against their predators; the members of different castes reached, in spiritual communion, the sublimation needed to bear the pressures of the higher beings; slaves were able on many occasions to unite and rebel against their masters ... But woman was an isolated being, incapacitated by an education imposed by her own parents from rebelling against her sad destiny. Only in the 19th century were women able to unite in suffragist currents to claim their civil rights. Until then the State, parental authority, the guardianship of Fathers and Husbands, the various Religions and Churches were institutions that weighed like slabs on the fragile flesh of the YIIEE, preventing any reflex of flight and liberation.

 

The myth of matriarchy was created by men. In no long phase of the history of Earth has woman been able to dominate over man. Only in specific cases have groups of women formed war squadrons, Amazons perhaps crueller than men, as a defensive reflex mechanism. Only in isolated cases, in rural settings, has a woman imposed herself as matriarch, or a Queen as ruler of a Social Network in which, paradoxically, the other women were not freed from their servitude even though one of them controlled the throne.

 

But of all the sexist cultures, none stands out in anti-feminist fanaticism like the Judaeo-Christian one. It was all the more guilty in that, like the Greek one, it shaped a form of thought far more elaborate and superior, above other more backward civilizations. All the more guilty in that it rested on Monotheism, a more elaborate and intellectual form of religion, which was therefore more obliged to repudiate any manifestation of slavery, including that of man over woman.

 

But the image of God (JEHOVAH) among the people of Israel is in principle blasphemous, presenting in the scriptures a cruel monotheistic figure who orders his people to exterminate without pity the women, men and children living in the old land of Canaan, who legitimately confront the invaders of the twelve tribes.

 

Jehovah is an arrogant, tyrannical and merciless masculine being, very far from the idea of WOA. The only intelligent contribution of that people, which invents an avenging God, is the break with the aberration of polytheism.

 

The Jewish people not only distort the ontological concept of God, making him appear as an avenging father who moreover allows his creatures to be tempted by Satan (an old reflection of Ahriman of Mazdaism), but later develop a long constellation of myths and consent to the murder of Jesus, distorting, as if that were not enough, the history of his life.

 

The Jewish people carry contempt for women to truly repugnant extremes. The polygamy of the Patriarchs allows them to repudiate their wives. After all, according to the Hebrew myth, women were descended from a rib of Adam.

 

In Leviticus one can read that the woman who suffers a flow of menstrual blood shall remain seven days sunk in “impurity”. Whoever touches her shall remain impure until evening. Every object she touches shall likewise be impure.

 

The adulterous woman is stoned. Puritan Hebrews still proclaim “Blessed be the Lord of the Universe for not having made me a woman”.

 

It is not strange, therefore, that the Catholic Church, which takes on the whole scriptural legacy of Israel, should accept and strengthen the subconscious hatred that woman inspires in it. The misogyny and aversion of the so-called Fathers of the Church towards the female figure is truly pathological.

 

Saint Augustine goes so far as to say that Woman is a beast that is neither firm nor stable, and Saint Thomas Aquinas, in his extensive work, refers to man's companion in very contemptuous terms. Thus he says that “Woman is a frustrated man”, “an occasional and incomplete being”, “Man is the head of woman as Jesus Christ is the head of man”; and Saint John Chrysostom specifies: “There is no wild beast in the world as destructive as woman”; and there is no need for us to repeat to you the exhortations Saint Paul makes to woman to submit to the masculine yoke. Tertullian exclaims: Woman: you are the strength of the devil!

 

The contempt of Christian theologians for the female sex reaches such aberrant extremes that some of them dared to bring before the Conciliar Council the idea that woman is devoid of a soul. The mythical image of the tempting woman in paradise wreaks ideological havoc in those fanatical men imbued with a literal interpretation of the Bible. It is not strange that the misogyny of the Catholic clergy should have led to one of the most terrifying persecutions the History of OYAGAA has known. Thousands of poor old women, adolescents and young women were burned at the stake, tortured in the presence of sadistic clerics, under the terrible and absurd accusation that they maintained sexual relations with diabolical incubi. The direct culprit for those horrible deaths was undoubtedly the Catholic Church, which has thus discredited itself for ever. Even in the years of the Argentine dictatorship, Catholic priests attended and collaborated in the tasks of the military, going to the extreme of applying the electric prod to newborn babies in the presence of their mothers. This conduct seemed correct to the Church, to the point that Monsignor Medina endorsed the Military Junta, declaring that torture is lawful provided it is applied for a period no longer than twenty-four hours. The Argentine Catholic military, with the explicit approval of their confessors, were especially savage with women, whom they raped with dogs, into whose wombs they introduced electrodes to make them abort, and whose breasts they cut off. In the Navy Mechanics School a priest adviser went so far as to say, in the course of a torture session, that it was not advisable to apply the electric prod to the detainee's mouth since it might fracture her teeth, and that it was more correct to introduce it vaginally and rectally.

 

Of course the Holy See was perfectly aware of what was happening; we have photocopied letters from the Secretariat of State in which the Argentine prelates are advised to collaborate actively in the tasks of repression unleashed by the military authorities. This same advice is given by the present Pontiff John Paul II to the Chilean bishops, with the notable difference that the latter, indignant, do not wish to follow those guidelines and have bravely confronted the dictatorial regime of their Country.

 

When a Chilean Bishop, during the Pontiff's recent visit to his Country, tells him in private (a conversation recorded by us) of the horrible tortures to which two women (a teacher and a graduate in Philosophy) were subjected by the police on 20 November 1986, John Paul the Second exclaims, “But one must bear in mind that both belong to the Communist Party ...”; and when another prelate indignantly tells him the details of an episode in which a journalist was burned alive by the carabineros, the Pope remarks in a bad temper: “That would not have happened to her if she had stayed at home doing the housework like every hard-working Christian woman ...”. Shortly after those comments the Pontiff blessed the Dictator Pinochet before the dismayed international public opinion. In his private letters to Bishops all over the World of Earth he warns severely that the “heretical” idea that woman might have access to the priesthood must be harshly repressed.

 

How can one be surprised that you men of Earth adopt sexist and repressive conduct towards your YIIE (Women) if the entity that sets itself up as interpreter of Universal Morality shows itself to be a fierce repressor of women's rights, trying to hide its execrable misogynist ideology with the mythical adoration and cult of Mary, illustrious mother of Jesus? It is obvious that respect for women and their rights does not consist in veneration and respect for the historical figure of one woman, but in real respect for the rights of all women living today. It is as if a slave-owning Society that represses and crushes the human rights of its servants tried to wash away its guilt by worshipping on its altars the mythical figure of the first slave.

 

But the real fault lies not with the pastors of that Church but with the faithful men who consent to such iniquity. There is no need for us Men of UMMO to denounce it in sadness. All male humans are fully conscious that they are violating the right to dignity of their companions, for many male and female thinkers of Earth have raised their voices denouncing this injustice without their words deserving more than a shrug of the shoulders.

 

There is therefore no ignorance or lack of awareness of the problem on your part, men of OYAGAA. The violation of the Rights of women is so clear that this saddened letter does not seek to dwell on what is perfectly well known to you.

 

It is possible that some readers of our message will not feel alluded to as men, excusing themselves on the grounds that they do not physically mistreat their wives, do not rape them, do not deny them access to their bank accounts, do not humiliate them with insults, nor as husbands deny them the right and freedom to go out when they please.

 

But there are veiled and subtle forms of sexism of which they probably should feel guilty. The husband who does not help his YIIE in the overwhelming moments of household tasks; the overbearing husband who sets himself up as oracle and head of the family, restricting his partner's right to take decisions and express her points of view; the subtle ways of humiliating his wife by ridiculing her ideas; his lack of interest in her taking part in meetings and conversations of an intellectual character: these are so many other veiled forms of sexism.

 

Men of Earth, we lack the Authority to exhort you to adopt ethical forms of a higher order. This denunciation of the sad condition of the YIIE on OYAGAA does not constitute any interference in the historical development of the Social Network of Earth, since we reveal nothing that you do not know or that has not been denounced by just women and men of high moral standing.

 

But we can indeed suggest to you that a large part of the terrible imbalances suffered by the Social Network of Earth are caused precisely by the unjust violation of the dignity you owe your women. The worldwide Feminist movement is now unstoppable. If the men of Earth do not take the initiative to grant what by right belongs to the female sex, women are preparing, without knowing it, a revolution of serious consequences for the balance of the peoples of the cold Star Earth. Men are going to pay violently for centuries of neglect and contempt towards their martyred companions. You men have subtly relied on the fallacy of the masochistic condition of women; you have created denigrating myths such as the clitoral and vaginal woman, or the psychoanalytic legend, without scientific foundation, of penis envy; you have tried to justify pseudo-scientifically the thesis of male superiority, and have tried to interfere in the rights that women undoubtedly have over their own bodies. The pressure of the State and of the Church to wrest their freedom from the female sex, and the unworthy attitude of neglect and indifference of the male collective in tacitly supporting this injustice, will provoke very serious consequences in the coming years. We, humans of UMMO on an expedition to OYAGAA, see it clearly.
