We wish to object, confidentially and only for our believers, to the distorted news that appeared in some newspapers concerning the arrival of one of our OAWOOLEA UEWA OEMM (1) which the world press has for some years been calling by the name of flying saucers.

 

CONFIDENTIAL REPORT

 

At 20 hours 1 minute and 56 seconds (SPANISH TIME) (853691.244 uiw (2) from time zero counted from its take-off from UMMO) contact with the terrestrial lithosphere was recorded on the OAWOOLEA OEMN OMWEA UMMO 56 in a plot of land near the motorway linking the Aluche suburban railway station with the settlement of Casilda de Bustos (Madrid)

 

Our Craft has the following characteristics: Circular plan section: outer diameter equal to 7.1 (enmoo), equivalent to 13.177 metres (3).

 

Lens-shaped cross-section, with a height from level zero (ground) of 4.28 metres.

 

Fitted with three elastic extensible legs with rectangular support panels that can be transformed into hemispheres for stabilisation on low-density fluids.

The version given by one witness describing the plan section as a triangle with curved sides is therefore groundless (perhaps due to an optical illusion).

 

Another witness reports that at its centre there is an irregularly shaped nozzle, which the Madrid newspaper Informaciones of 9 February interprets by means of a crude drawing.

 

There is no such nozzle, since our propulsion system does not rest on the reaction of the gases expelled by a turbojet.

 

The onlooker simply mistook our graphism, which reads, translated into Spanish, “GENERAL GOVERNING COUNCIL OF UMMO “ for a gas outlet.

 

A person from the nearby Aviation estate saw one of our comrades undress while he was trying to put on clothing in common use in this country, giving rise to an unpleasant incident.

 

We apologise, since our rule has always been to respect the ethical code of each nation. Any intelligent mind will, moreover, understand how forced that situation was.

 

Our OAWOOLEA OEMM rose at 20 hours 2 minutes and 54.5 seconds Spanish time, bound for UMMO.

 

NOTES.

 

(1) The transcription of our names is very difficult to record. We have adopted, as usual, the rule of writing in terrestrial characters (in this case with simulated Spanish spelling) the words which in our judgement bear the greatest similarity to our corresponding acoustic phonemes, since it would be impossible to translate the telepathic code used among us (so far all attempts to communicate with you telepathically have failed ). (2) The UMMO unit of time is the UIW , defined as the time it takes for the mass of the isotope THORIUM C (WAEELE WIE VOAT) to be reduced by half. One UIW is equivalent to 3.0921 minutes (for ease of calculation, translate as three minutes). Back

 

(3) The UMMO unit of length is the ENMOO , defined as 12⁶ (twelve to the sixth power) times the wavelength of the radiation beam emitted by the Galaxy OAATAS .

 

One ENMOO is equivalent to 1.873658 metres. Back
